If you are thinking about attending a church, you probably have asked yourself similar questions. As pastor at Thousand Oaks I hope to take this space to answer a few of the questions you may have.  We want you to know some basics about us - to know the areas which we feel define who we are as a church family. Thousand Oaks is a biblical church.  We believe strongly that the Bible is God's Word - it is rock solid Truth.  The Sunday messages will make heavy use of biblical truths presented in a relevant, practical manner.  We offer Bible study classes on Sunday and home groups which meet during the week to enhance growth in the Word. Our atmosphere is informal - no need to get all dressed up in order to attend.  Our music is upbeat and led by a team of instrumentalists and vocalists who desire to lead our church in heartfelt worship.  While our worship service is going on, we have a simultaneous service for children.  We also offer a wonderful nursery during our Bible study time and during the worship service.

The people who attend Thousand Oaks are just good ol' San Antonio folks.  We are an accepting group of people who greatly appreciate our guests.  If you attend a service here, you can expect to meet some terrific people.  If you are going through a tough season of life, we have a Prayer team that would love to pray with you and encourage you.

There is so much I could say about Thousand Oaks but this letter is just a brief introduction.   I am usually at the front door before and after each service - I would love to meet you.  I don't want to be "the guy up on the stage," I prefer to be more relational and available.  I would like to personally invite you to visit us next Sunday at 10:30 AM for a service here.  We would love to have you with us.  -  Pastor Chuck
