AWANAS
What is Awana?
Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ!
What does Awana stand for?
The founders of Awana derived the Awana name from the first letters of Approved workmen are not ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
What happens at a weekly Awana meeting?
Each week your children will participate in three distinct areas.
1.Book Time - Children spend time working through their individual Awana books and memorizing scripture in order to hide Gods Word in their hearts, and earn achievement awards.
2.Game Time - Children will participate in high energy games and activities around the Awana game circle.
3.Counsel Time - Awana leaders will lead an interactive Bible story time with object lessons and special guests.

Clubs Meet Wednesdays at 6:15pm
Children have a special place in the heart of our Heavenly Father, and at Thousand Oaks, we think they're pretty special too.
With the barrage of garbage that is aired over television and the internet, we believe it to be of utmost importance that we get the unchanging truths of God's Word in them at an early age. That's why all of our children's programs begin and end with the Bible. We want them to know just how much Jesus loves them and wants to guide them as they make difficult decisions every day.

Sunday Morning Bible Study - 9:15 am
Our classes are lead by loving and caring volunteers who desire to help our children begin a lifelong and personal walk with Jesus Christ.
Kidz Church - 10:30 am
A special time of worship and study just for kids. Meets during our main worship service. (For K-4th graders)
Awana Clubs - Wed. Nights 6:15-7:30 pm
For children 3yrs old through 5th grade. A great and fun way for kids to learn the truths of God's word through book time, games, and scripture memory.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer our kids enjoy a week totally dedicated to them. This is a themed week that helps children learn about the love of God, with an emphasis on outreach.
